Alberta Employment First Network

About

Alberta Employment First Network (AEFN) is a province-wide organization dedicated to advancing inclusive employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. By connecting employers, service providers, policymakers, and job seekers, AEFN works collaboratively to remove barriers and create meaningful, accessible pathways to employment across Alberta.

Through training, events, and resource development, AEFN supports businesses in building more inclusive workplaces while empowering its network with the tools and knowledge needed to foster equity, diversity, and inclusion. The organization plays a key role in strengthening collaboration across Alberta’s employment ecosystem, helping employers attract and retain diverse talent while promoting best practices in inclusive hiring.

AEFN is also a leader in awareness and advocacy initiatives, including Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM) and the IDEA Conference, which bring together industry, community, and government partners to advance conversations around accessibility and workforce inclusion.

With a focus on long-term impact, Alberta Employment First Network is committed to building a more inclusive and equitable workforce where all Albertans have the opportunity to contribute, succeed, and thrive.
